Unable to report hot days, months, years because it has actually been colder, the BoM has resorted to telling us some time in the next 5 years we will have a hot one.

It used to be "spokesman" then it became "spokesperson" but given I haven't heard a man in this role for yonks perhaps it should just be "spokeswoman" now.
